Permanent Sponsors and Gifted Services
David Trubridge (as an individual and a company) has long been associated with concern for our environment and advocating sustainable business practices.
Therefore, the decision was made in 2013 to commit to annually supporting the MTT which is taking direct action in our local area.
Not only do we as a company have the responsibility for our own footprint, but we also wish to show support for others who align with our values.
Through the direct action of local people, future generations will enjoy what we all took for granted as children; a place with clean water, native bush and birdsong!
Turley & Co’s principal Pat Turley, for over 30-years has considered streams and rivers crossing farmland should be fenced with waterway margins reserved planted wildlife corridors.
Turley & Co is an innovator and leader in its specialist property advisory fields. Incepted in 2002, Maraetōtara Tree Trust is an outright trailblazer – the trust is truly inspirational to the Turley family and Turley & Co people.
In 2006 family owned Turley & Co became the Trust’s first business sponsor. In 2009 Trustees including Raewyn Ricketts and the late Sir Rodney Gallen, invited Pat to join the volunteer governance group. In late 2014, well supported by his family and colleagues, Pat accepted the role of Chair of the Trust Board.
Join us in supporting the Maraetōtara River restoration project. It’s good for nature, our community and it’s good for the soul. It’s all about the future, much cleaner water, improved biodiversity, and more habitat for aquarian and birdlife!

We have seen the fantastic work undertaken by the trust on the Maraetōtara stream and see an opportunity to continue this great work. We are committed to Hawke’s Bay and believe the protection of its natural waterways are vital to its continued biodiversity.
Clearview Estate Winery commends the visionary and dedicated efforts of the Maraetōtara Tree Trust and is delighted to give our ongoing support.
Our vineyards, winery & restaurant have been in this community for over 30 years, in that time we have seen increasing numbers of Tui and Kereru feeding and singing in our trees. At the Maraetōtara River mouth sits our Te Awanga village, an area of significant local history over the centuries, an important wetland and recreational area for residents, fisher folk, surfers and visitors alike.
The Clearview Estate team see our involvement with the Maraetōtara Tree Trust as part of our on-going respect and responsibility for our wider environment. In all aspects of our business Clearview Estate Winery and Restaurant strive to reduce our impact on the environment, custodians for future generations.
Our vineyard team work with Sustainable Wine Growing New Zealand – (SWNZ) to reduce the environmental impacts of viticulture. Our restaurant has attained Qualmark’s enviro rating through continued improvements in best practice.
Supporting the Maraetōtara Tree Trust is a great fit with our business and community.
